    TheraCare is a home and community based provider of services to children with developmental disabilities. A significant portion of our practice is assessing and serving children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder through State and insurance funded programs in the North East. Due to our emphasis on quality and the timely delivery of our services our ABA program has grown significantly. We are seeking a talented and seasoned Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our senior management team to provide overall clinical leadership to our staff of Board Certified Behavior Analysts and other ABA practioners.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/ DUTIES

    Job Functions and Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Provide clinical leadership and oversight in the assessment and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder;
    • Interview and select Board Certified Behavior Analyst and other ABA clinical staff as needed;Managing and further developing ABA programs
    • Training and mentorguiding new and current staff in their development and practice of the principles of ABA to ensure treatment integrity;
    • Ensuring program directives from clinical team are implemented accurately and timely
    • Consulting with clients to ensureand providing continuous program direction and maintenance;
    • Ensure direct implementation of insurance goals and data collection system
    • Guide ongoing implementation of teaching procedures
    • Oversee implementation of program goals and data collection system;
    • Collect and analyze ongoing data and write reports for various funding agencies
    • Collaborate with Universities, Medical Institutions and other experts to lLeverage the most evidenced based treatment and technology available;
    • Work collaboratively with vendors to identify and utilize software applications to monitor the efficacy and efficiency of data collection and goals; in assessing possible ABA applications
    • Provide trainings for Managed Care and ABA programs
    • Select and hire clinical staff
    • Organize and present at ABA/Autism workshops, conferences and events;
    • Create training and curriculum based material for Managed Care and current ABA programs;
    • Oversee completion of future projects as needed
    • Research and take lead in training on devices that will assist in the development and management of Managed Care and current ABA programs
    • When needed, assist with BCBA supervision and assignment of cases

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Position Description:
    The applicant should have experience working in a classroom with the preschool population and have excellent organizational and communication skills.

    Supervises SEIT teachers and assist in intergrated classrooms

    Responsible for clinical oversight of CPSE program

    Must have a SBL or SAS certification

    Clinical orientation of new hires

    Assist with curriculum, classroom management, reports, materials, parent issues, site difficulties for SCIS classes, networking, attend meetings, staff trainings, touring families and overall setting a professional tone for the staff.

    Provide on-going clinical supervision and support for special educators and classroom teachers through field observations, meetings, phone calls and email

  • Paraprofessional
    Position Description:
    Assist teacher with the daily care of students with emotionall, cognitive, autism and other special needs.  Their responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

    One-on-one or small group instruction as outlined by the teacher

    Reinforcing behavior through the use of positive behavior support

    Teaching daily living skills such as independent feeding, dressing and toileting

    Aiding occupational therapist, physical therapist speech teachers and adaptive physical education providers during instruction

    Guiding and assisting students in small group instruction settings with class routine and in transitioning from one activity to the next

  • Substitute Teacher
    Position Description:
    Substitute teacher understands that his/her relationship with TheraCare is on a substitute basis, as needed because of the absence of a permanent employee. Substitute teachers are paid at an hourly rate and are not eligible for insurance benefits, holiday pay, and do not accrue vacation or sick leave during the period they are employed as substitutes. Available to work on an on-call basis a total of seven (7) hours.

    Candiates cannot currently work for the DOE or MUST be separated from the DOE for 12 months.

      Position Description:
      Under the supervision of an ASHA certified and state-licensed Speech Language Pathologist, will perform the following duties:

      Position Description:
      • Plans and implements delivery of early intervention services to children on designated caseload,  including screening, assessment, intervention planning, implementation of intervention,  implementation of related therapy goals and objectives and transition planning
      • Collaborate with the family and a multi-disciplinary team to develop goals and outcomes for children referred to our programs
      • Deliver services in the child’s most natural environment
      • Work under regular direction according to the agency and Birth to Three mission and philosophy

      Qualifications:

      • Implement principles and procedures of Applied Behavior Analysis to successfully meet goals and objectives as indicated on student’s treatment plans;
      • Record data on behaviors and enter it into data system;

      • Assist children with developing and improving fine motor skills and adjustment to disabilities

      Position Description:

    • Quality Assurance Manager - Connecticut
      Position Description:

      Description: The QA Manager will be responsible for reviewing various documentation to ensure compliance with B23 standards and for providing feedback to clinical staff. In addition, this person will lend support to providers/service coordinators through in office trainings and direct supervision in the field.
